DYE SUBLIMATION

In line with the expectations of our customers, we offer now sublimation printing. Dye-sublimation is one of most durable printing method, used on light-coloured polyester fabrics. Because of chemical process which permanently penetrates into the fabric structure resulting with permanent colouring. It is mainly employed to print on sportswear, e.g.: T-shirts, tops, sweatshirts, softshells and accessories. It is a chemical process. It offers a very high reproduction of the design, especially when printing photos or multicoloured graphics. The print is very soft in touch (practically imperceptible), breathable and has a high resistance to multiple washing. The lack of preparation costs makes it particularly cost effective even for smaller orders.

Printing process

Your artwork is printed onto a sheet of high-release paper and is then transferred directly onto your apparel using a combination of both heat and pressure. Heat is used to convert the dye particles into a gas - known as Sublimation - and then bonds them with the polyester fibres. Unlike other methods, such as Screen Printing, the dye is absorbed directly into the fabric to produce a fantastic soft-to-the-hand feel.

Dye Sublimation is a printing technique that allows full-colour, all-over apparel prints onto T-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, etc. Our well stocked warehouse allows us to use our own products which means that you don't need to order and send us your own products separately, allowing you to let us manage your order from start to finish.

• It is only possible to print darker colours on lighter ones, preferably on white.

The quality of the all over print is directly related to the quality of your image or photograph, so to produce the best quality garment, you must supply us with large, high-resolution artwork or images. Low-resolution artworks or photographs may result in poor quality or blurry print. We recommend images to be at least 300 DPI.

Special considerations when using Dye Sublimation:

Due to the printing process for Dye Sublimation, it is normal that the print leaves white marks where there are creases. These white marks are commonly found around the armpit area ( re. overprint on ready-made garments).

Please be aware that a true black can not be achieved with dye sublimation as the T-shirts can only absorb a certain amount of ink. Therefore, black can often not be as saturated as some other colours and may appear off-black. However, the technique and inks we use results in get amazing black colour saturation, close to true black!

Dye sublimation is primarily suited to all over randomly placed designs, not position specific designs but please contact us if you have any doubts.

Best results: 600 DPI,  acceptable 300 DPI.
