TRANSFER PRINTING
At Corporate Image we use the latest transfer technology system to print high definition colour images onto garments with great results!
It is the most innovative and eco-friendly imprint method with a wide spectrum of applications. Thermal overprints as a flexible method of printing garments. It is a surface technique which is fused onto the fabric using high temperature. The use of a heat transfer material melting causes printing is stable for years. It is recommended for high quality prints on T-shirts and polo shirts made of verity of textiles of cotton, polyester or mixture. However, printing on fleece is not possible. This technique is characterized by high durability and excellent colour coverage, even upon dark fabrics. Due to the high quality and purity of the edge of the printing method enables precise and aesthetic application logotypes. The edges of the prints are equal and extremely accurate.
The technique can be applied on a variety of substrates and fabrics, too - bags, backpacks, umbrellas, hats - wherever there is no possibility of direct screen printing. It allows to print at garment’s parts inaccessible for other printed methods. Transfer printing works by printing you design onto transfer paper material before applying the transfer onto the garment using a commercial heat press. Full colour designs and even photographs can be printed quickly and easily onto garments to create promotional clothing in a flash. It is a very durable imprint technique. Its high quality finish makes it ideal for custom sportswear and personalized T-shirts that have intricate designs. It usually is a slow process so it is not recommended for bulk printing, and it is not suitable for all fabrics as it requires the garments to be able to resist high temperatures.
Transfer print / Digital print - edge cut
Transfer printing is the process of printing your designs onto a special, transferrable vinyl material. The printed material is then transferred onto the T-shirt or garment using a commercial heat press. It reproduces the full depth of colours, which makes it ideal for transferring multicolour photos and images onto all kinds of fabrics, including polyesters: sportswear, jackets, polyester T-shirts. Thermal transfer ensures high colour saturation draped prints are clean and crisp edges.
The only drawback of this technique is that for large numbers of small elements (e.g. lots of separate dots) which cannot be cut out of one form, it cannot be applied. In this case plastisol transfers is recommended. Thermal transfers does not permit personalization. The same design has to be used for the entire print run. This method of printing tends to work best with white or light coloured garments due to the way the ink behaves during the heated transfer process. The method is cost-effective for small quantity as well as for and large orders. There’s no minimum order and no set up costs involved when you use our transfer printing service, so it’s ideal for a smaller run of T-shirts where high definition and detail are vital.
It is a great option if you're after promotional clothing due to the bright, vibrant colours that can be achieved.
PROs:
We can use transfer printing when printing onto both light and dark coloured T-shirts and garments. The material used for dark T-shirts is slightly thicker to that which is used for white T-shirts and garments.
There are different base materials available for nylon and 'stretchy' garments to ensure the print will be the most adequate for the garment we are printing onto. We will always make sure that the print will last as long as possible by ensuring the correct transfer material for each individual order and garment type.
